一月二十三日星期三 January 23, Wednesday - A Day


For Chinese Level I, II, and III, we first learned the classroom procedures first which was posted online as well. We had assigned the seating for each student and Chinese Level I students were given their Chinese names. A hall pass 通 行證 was given and required the student's Chinese name, English name and the period on it. After that we used TPRS introduced the animals for Level I, II, III. For Level I student we worked on TPR animal introduction and practiced with the small whiteboards while Level III students worked on a piece of paper with 12 equal squares (as the pictures). 
鼠 shǔ = rat/mouse
niú = cow/ox/bull
虎 hǔ = tiger
兔 tù = rabbit/ bunny
龍 lóng = dragon
蛇 shé = snake
馬 mǎ = horse
羊 yáng = sheep/goat/lamb
猴 hóu = monkey
鷄 jī = chicken/rooster/hen
gǒu = dog
豬 zhū = pig/ boar
貓 māo = cat
熊 xióng = bear
熊貓xióng māo/貓熊 māo xióng = penda
魚 yú = fish
烏龜 wū guī  = turtle
鳥 niǎo  = bird
長頸鹿 cháng jǐng lù = giraffe
無尾熊 wú wěi xióng = koala
袋鼠 dài shǔ  = kangaroo 




For the students who absent, please do the followings 
#1, copy down the words we learn in class today onto your notebook and show the teacher the next day you come. 
#2, For Level II and III students, please make flashcards as the following pictures and show the teacher your assignment
#3, For Level I, II, III, remember to come in and ask for a hall pass. For Level I remember to make a name tag with your Chinese name (come and ask the teacher what your Chinese name is.)
