For Chinese Level I students we reviewed the old words and learned the new words with ASL/TPR and we asked PQA questions. and we asked PQA questions. We practiced these words with whiteboards. Acted out stories with TPRStorytelling circling questions.  At the end we learned the song.

吃(chī) = eat

喜(xǐ)歡(huān) = like

熱(rè)狗(gǒu) = hotdog

比(bǐ)薩(sà) = pizza

漢(tān)堡(bǎo)包(bāo) = hamburger

Supplemental words,

都(dōu)喜(xǐ)歡(huān) = like them all

都(dōu)不(bù)喜(xǐ)歡(huān) = don't like any of them

Review words as the followings.

拿(ná)  = take

用(yòng)  = use

剪(jiǎn)刀(dāo) = scissors

剪(jiǎn) = cut

坐(zuò)在(zài)…上(shàng) = sit on …

指(zhǐ)一(yì)指(zhǐ) = point at

看(kàn) = look, see, watch, read

頭(tóu) = head

頭(tou)髮(fà) = hair

書(shū)  = book

椅(yǐ)子(zi) = chair

We acted out a couple of stories like

Case 今天晚上有約會，他穿上藍色上衣和棕色短褲。他在鏡子前面走過來走過去，他說：我看上來很帥。

Aurora今天晚上有約會，她穿上黑色上衣和白色裙子。她在鏡子前面走過來走過去，她說：我看上來很好看。

 

晚(wǎn)上(shang) = night

約(yuē)會(huì) = have a date (on a date)

鏡(jìng)子(zǐ) = mirror

在(zài)….前(qián)面(mian) = in front of

走(zǒu)過(guo)來(lái)走(zǒu)過(guo)去(qù) = walk back and forth

 

看(kàn)起(qǐ)來(lái) = look (like) = 看(kàn)上(shàng)去 (qù)
