三月二十五日 & 二十六日 星期二 & 三 March 24 & 25 Friday & Monday 中文一 Chinese Level I

We first reviewed the story about James. And then we used TPRStorytelling circling questions for chorall response. Later, students were assigned to work as pairs on a book. Each student has 2 pieces of papers and folded it into half and combined the paper with their partner to make a booklet. They spent about 30 minutes to create a story about "looking for" with their partner.

Rules -
Write and illustrate a very simple children's book using the vocabulary you have learned.
Keep it Simple. If yo make it too complicated, your score will go down. Accuracy counts, so make the story simple and accurate.
Direction for the book
1. Work in a partnership
2. Take 2 sheets of paper, fold them in half to create a book
3. the 1st page is the cover and title, so name your book and write your names on this page as well.
4. The 2nd page is blank.
5. Start the story on page 3.
6.  Leave the last page blank.
7. Only use the vocabulary you know. You will have to be creative.

For 7th period students while instead of working in pairs, they worked alone with 3 sheets of paper for the storybook. While they were making the book, the teacher was doing the oral assessment with students.

三月二十五日 & 二十六日 星期二 & 三 March 24 & 25 Friday & Monday 中文二 & 三 Chinese Level II & III

Students were asked to work on the exercises 2-4 about the story read last time and the teacher was doing the oral assessment on students. Every two students were asked to come and sit in front of the teacher with their textbook. They may choose any paragraph they'd love to read aloud to the teacher for pronunciation and fluency evaluation. Later the teacher asked few questions about the paragraph they read and students responded to the questions for their comprehension evaluation. Thanks.
