Reflective Essay for Language B
1st Paragraph:  Introduction: Tell me what class this is, how long you’ve had it, maybe who the teacher is, and why you are taking it.
2nd Paragraph:  (Self Analysis) Tell me what you’ve learned specifically and how it has affected your life, and how this may change your life in the future. You need to include what Approach to Learning you are developing and your strengths and weaknesses. Also include any difficulties that you might have encountered and how you handled them.
What are some things you’ve learned?  What did you do that you are really proud of? What is hard for you?  If you could start over, what would you do better?
3rd Paragraph:  (Subject Evaluation) Tell me how you learn best (Approaches to Learning), and the why behind it.  Tell me what you have enjoyed or disliked about the subject.   You need to describe how that preference affected your learning of the subject area.
What activities have helped you learn to read, write, speak and understand spoken Spanish the best?  Why?  What activities don’t you like, and why?  Why do you think it is hard for you?  What do you think you could/should be learning from these activities? How could things be done differently to get a better learning result?
4th Paragraph:  (Application to World/Community) Describe all the information pertaining to the community or world as a whole, that you personally made a connection about.  You will need to describe how different information that you learned can be applied to you, and those around you.  IE:  family, neighborhood, church, or your own community or to an even larger, more worldwide scale.  You will also need to describe your reasoning and why it is important to you.  You may want to include how knowing this information could be important to you in the future.
Have you been able to understand or use Spanish outside of class?  How?  How did you feel?  What do you think you will need to do to continue learning the language?  Have you been able to understand a group of people better because of the cultural things you’ve learned in class?  Do you want to visit a foreign country?  Why?
5th  Paragraph: (Conclusion) Restate your feelings and thoughts about this class. Would you recommend this class to someone else?  Why or why not?  Think about all you have learned and what you are now able to do.
