FOR CHINESE LEVEL I ABSENT STUDENTS - copy down vocabulary and the story we learned today in class and show the teacher when you come in.


Today we learned the following words -
動物dòng wù = animals
賽跑sài pǎo = race
第一dì yī = the 1st 
第二dì èr = the 2nd
最後zuì hòu = the last

yǒu yī tiān  shí èr zhī dòng wù sài pǎo
 有一天 十二隻動物賽跑 = One day, twelve animals had a race.
shǔ pǎo dì yī  
鼠跑第一 = the rat ran the first place
niú pǎo dì èr 
牛跑第二 = the cow ran the 2nd place
hǔ pǎo dì sān
虎跑第三 = the tiger ran the 3rd place
tù pǎo dì sì 
兔跑第四 = the rabbit ran the 4th place
zhū pǎo zuì hòu
豬跑最後 = the pig ran the last place
sheí pǎo dì wǔ
誰跑第五? = who ran the fifth place

After introducing the vocab, at 6th period we had a small race in our classroom. First, Gavin and Corbin volunteered to race and see 誰快sheí kuài?(who is fast?), and then Corbin and Ally, Ally and Mrs. Duke, Zach and Connor, and Connor and Mrs. Duke. After the small race, students volunteered to translate the story. Next we used the small whiteboard to practice the words and sentences. Finally we watched the video to learn a Chinese song named - Stay in the Moment 留在這裡
