二月十四日星期四 - February 14, Thursday - A Day

FOR CHINESE LEVEL I ABSENT STUDENTS - #1 Copy down the words we learned on your notebook and show the teacher the notes when you come back. #2, Download the package and work on it according to the instruction.

FOR CHINESE LEVEL II & III STUDENTS - #1, Copy dwon the words we learned onto your notebook and show the teacher the notes when you come back, #2, Download the package and work on the last page.

For Chinese Level I students we learned the following words and the we used PQA to introduced and practice these words. After that we worked on the package as a whole group.

chī = eat
tiào = jump
pǎo = run
睡覺shuì jiào = sleep
游泳yóu yǒng = swim/swimming
pá = climb, crawl
lā = pull
fēi = fly
tuī  = push

Please click the package download it, and complete the assignments according to the instruction.

#1, students start work on – 1st page (or paper page 90 at the corner) --Word Search: Zodiac Animal

#2, students work on the back of the (or paper page 90 at the corner)– Compare: Are they the Same or Different; Ask them to use their notes to know which animals are compared as pairs, and then ask them to write similarities and differences between each pair of animals IN ENGLISH. Tell them to skip the Bonus – idioms part

#3, students read the story on the 2nd page ((or paper page 94 at the corner which is all in English) and write 10 facts about the story. 

#4, students write down their names on the blank and study the each word to the picture and figure out the meaning.

#5, students work on the pages with pictures like paper page #83, 84, 85, 86  marked at the corner of the pages.

#6, students to fill in the blank in CHINESE and pinyin. If they complain they don’t know how to write it, tell them it’s on the page 83 (at the corner). 

#7, students fill in the blanks in Chinese and pinyin AND color the pictures. Please skip the page 93 & 96.

For Chinese Level II and III studens, we first introduced the words as the followings
chī = eat
tiào = jump
pǎo = run
睡覺shuì jiào = sleep
游泳yóu yǒng = swim/swimming
pá = climb, crawl
**拉lā = pull
fēi = fly
** 推 tuī  = push
** are the new words others than these are old words.
最先zuì xiān = the first, at the beginning
最後zuì hòu = the last, at the end
重複zhòng fú = repeat
開始 kāi shǐ = start
