九月九日星期一 Setpember 9, Monday - B Day

For Chinese Level I students, we first read aloud the article package and worked on the 50 facts about China (as the followings) and then we reviewed the words and practiced PQA such as 男孩, 女孩, etc. 。
1.     Group the students into 4 each group. Please click the word "the article package" to access the article.
2.     Pass the article package about China to students. Due to the fewer copies, each group only receive 2 packages. ALSO, please make sure students turn the packages in before they leave to recycle use them next period.
3.     Ask each member of the groups takes turn to read aloud paragraph by paragraph, and have them discuss the key facts in the paragraph and write them down.
4.     50 facts are required for their coming test as references.
5.     Remind students, the more details, the better scores.

For 6th period (CL 2 & 3), we did the followings first and then we read aloud as a whole class and the teacher read the sentence by sentence and students volunteered to translate it into English. Next, we did the time-read. Students read to themselves aloud up to 3 minutes and then read aloud to their partners as pairs up to 2 minutes.

Please click the "story paper" to access the story for reading and translation.
1.     Pass the story paper to the students.
2.     Pair the students.
3.     Have them read aloud the story paper and translate into English on their lined paper.
