For Chinese Level II & III students, we learned the sentence patterns.
(zhè)(jiàn)___________(duō)(shǎo)(qián)
(zhè)(shuāng) ___________(chǐ)(cùn)(duō)(shǎo)/(chǐ)(cùn)()(hào)
(zhè)(jiàn)____________(tài)(guì)(le)

1. pair the students. Each pair of students received a worksheet and a projector sheet as the following.
2. students placed the projector sheet on top of the worksheet.
3. students has 1 minute to make the price up for each item and to write them down.
4. students were given 5 minutes for Partner A to ask
(zhè)jiàn)/ (shuāng)(___________(duō)(shǎo)(qián)

and the partner B answered the questions. They needed to non-stop ask and answer the questions with
 (zhè)(jiàn)/(shuāng)____________(kuài)(qián)
for all the items up to 5 minutes. (If they are done before 5 minutes they will need to start over again). and then Partner B ask the questions, Partner A answer the question. (5 minutes)
 5. After that students were asked to erase the price and then make up the size numbers.
And then they ask
(zhè)(jiàn)/(shuāng)________(chǐ)(cùn)(duō)(shǎo)/(chǐ)(cùn)() (hào)
 and answer with
(zhè)(jiàn)/(shuāng)________(chǐ)(cùn)___(hào
)


 

For Chinese Level I students, we learned the following Chinese characters and we watched the video clips how these Chinese characters form from pictography.  You may click the characters and show the video clip from youtube.com. We wrote each characters five times, and then we practiced them by playing bingo.
