FOR CHINESE LEVEL I ABSENT STUDENTS - #1, copy down the words onto your notebook and show the teacher the notes when you come back, #2, make a missing poster in Chinese characters (see the following activity description).
FOR CHINESE LEVEL II and III ABSENT STUDENTS - #1, copy down the words onto your notebook and show the teacher the notes when you come back,


First we did the calendar and reviewed the old words as usual. After that we introduced the new words.
失蹤shī zōng = got lost/ disappeared
不見了bù jiàn le = disappeared/ out of sight

The words we reviewed --
走失了zǒu shī le  = got lost
尋找xún zhǎo = look for
尋找啟示xún zhǎo qǐ shì  = missing poster
bang = pounds
多重?duō zhòng = how heavy?
體重tǐ zhòng = weight
chǐ = foot/feet
cun = inch
多高?duō gāo = how tall?
身高shēn gāo = height
性別xìng bié = gender
姓名xìng míng = full name
穿chuān = wear/put on
年齡nián líng = age
上衣shàng yī = top/shirt
褲子kù zǐ = pants
特徵tè zhēng = characteristic/feature
Students were groups of 3-4 (1st period) and/or 1-2 (2nd period) and given 30 minutes to google search (with laptops) Missing Poster for some ideas to generate a 尋找啟示 in Chinese. After the 30 minutes students came up as groups/pairs/individuals to present and introduce their 尋找啟示.

Chinese Level II and III students we learned the following words....
收銀台shōu yín tái= checkout counter
肉類ròu lèi = meat
電池 diàn chí  = battery
cd 機  = cd player
唐裝táng zhuāng = Chinese traditional clothes
