Chinese Level III December 3, 2014 Wednesday

We first did the quiz. After the quiz the students copied down the new words from the board. We watched the following video 3 times. We practiced them and then we played "stand-up and shout aloud".
1) the teacher do the ASL and the students said them in Chinese. Each student in each row needs to stand up shouting aloud in Chinese the receive a point.
2), the teacher said these words in Chinese and students stood up shouting aloud their English meaning.
3), the teacher said the words in English and students stood up shouting aloud their Chinese meaning.
4) paired the students and time 1 minute; student A did the gestures and student B said their Chinese meaning. See how many words did student B get. And then take turn, time 1 minute; student B did the gestures and student A said their Chinese meaning.
5) Same pairs of students and time 1 minute; student A said the words in Chinese and student B said their English meaning. See how many words did student B get. And then take turn, time 1 minute; student B said the words in Chinese and student A said their English meaning.
6) Same pairs of students and time 1 minute; student A said the words in English and student B said their Chinese meaning. See how many words did student B get. And then take turn, time 1 minute; student B said the words in English and student A said their Chinese meaning.

After students were familiar with the new words; we read. First we read with pinyin; second we read with some words missing pinyin.
