Chinese Level I November 12 & 13, Wednesday & Thursday

NO QUIZ FOR 4TH PERIOD BUT 7TH PERIOD WE DON'T HAVE TIME TO RECORD THE SCORE YET. .
We first introduced new words with TPR and then we charade each row and see who did fast and connect the sound to the gestures. Later students were given a story. I read it aloud and then just listen and read along with what I read. Checked their comprehension with fingers. And then read it again, and checked again. Next students were pairs up to translate the story into English sentence by sentence within 7 minutes and 13 seconds.And then groups of 4 and check how accurate their translation was. And then I read aloud in Chinese they translated them into English chorally sentence by sentence and then vice versa. Later we went over the story with TPRStorytelling circling questions. At then end we reviewed the words.

拿(ná) = to take

剪(jiǎn) = to cut

剪(jiǎn)刀(dāo) = scissors

指(zhǐ)一(yì)指(zhǐ) = to point at  

桌(zhuō)子(zi) = table/desk

高(gāo)兴(xìng) = happy/glad

头(tóu)发(fà)  = hair

一(yí)个(gè)男(nán)孩(hái)走(zǒu)到(dào)女(nǚ)孩(hái)那(nà)里(lǐ)。男(nán)孩(hái)十(shí)四(sì)岁(suì)。他(tā)有(yǒu)棕(zōng)色(sè)的(de)头(tóu)发(fà)、蓝(lán)色(sè)的(de)眼(yǎn)睛(jīng)。

男(nán)孩(hái)走(zǒu)到(dào)女(nǚ)孩(hái)那(nà)里(lǐ)，指(zhǐ)一(yì)指(zhǐ)女(nǚ)孩(hái)的(de)书(shū)。男(nán)孩(hái)说(shuō)：你(nǐ)给(gěi)我(wǒ)书(shū)，好(hǎo)吗(ma)？

女(nǚ)孩(hái)说(shuō)：不(bù)好(hǎo)！我(wǒ)不(bù)喜(xǐ)欢(huān)你(nǐ)。 男(nán)孩(hái)不(bù)高(gāo)兴(xìng)。男(nán)孩(hái)抓(zhuā)女(nǚ)孩(hái)的(de)书(shū)，跑(pǎo)了(le)。

女(nǚ)孩(hái)也(yě)不(bù)高(gāo)兴(xìng)。女(nǚ)孩(hái)跑(pǎo)到(dào)桌(zhuō)子(zi)那(nà)里(lǐ)， 拿(ná)剪(jiǎn)刀(dāo)。女(nǚ)孩(hái)用(yòng)剪(jiǎn)刀(dāo)剪(jiǎn)男(nán)孩(hái)的(de)头(tóu)发(fà)。男(nán)孩(hái)哭(kū)了(le)。
