Period 8: We went to the cooking room to cook tian suan ji 甜酸鸡 Sweet and Sour Chicken. Using the following vocabulary words we used the recipe to make the dish.

肌(jī) 肉(ròu) chicken

醋(cù) vinegar

太(tài) 白(bái) 粉(fěn) cornstarch

紅(hóng) 焦(jiāo) red pepper

青(qīng) 椒(jiāo) green pepper

油(yóu) oil

糖(táng) sugar
