May 7, 2012 Monday - 五月七日星期一 - B Day

Today we first reviewed the words
zhǎo = look for
zhǎo dào = found
zhǎo bú dào = cannot find
zhǎo lái zhǎo qù = look for everywhere
mǎi = buy
mài = sell
bù zhī dào = don't know
shāng diàn = store
mào zǐ = hat
澳ào dà lì yà = Australia
dōng tiān = winter
hěn lěng = very cold
zhù zài = live in
And then we told the following story with TPRStory cyling questions about

After that instead of using the whiteboard, we used a piece of paper to practice the words with sentences.
40 minutes before the class dismissed, students were asked to read the article about China's primitive society and pottery and write 10 facts with 180 words reflective essay.

May 4th Friday -五月四日星期五 - A Day

I was absent today due to personal leave and the sub took care of the classess today. What students did today was #1, read an article about China's primitive society and pottery, #2, write down 15 facts in total and 300 words essay. #3, the essay had to be turned in at the end of class.

May 3rd, Thursday 五月三日星期四 - B Day

Today we learned the new words


mào zǐ = hat
kù zǐ = pants
qún zǐ = skirts
shàng yī = shirts
mǎi = (to) buy
mài = (to) sell
zhǎo = (to) look for
zhǎo dào = (to) found
zhǎo bú dào = cannot find
hěn lěng = (be) very cold
hěn rè = (be) very hot

Instead of using whiteboards we used a piece of blank paper and folded it into 8 boxes. We practiced these new words with sentences. For example,

yóu tā dōng tiān hěn lěng = Utah's winter is very cold.
yóu tā xià tiān hěn rè = Utah's summer is very hot.
Gagebù 穿chuān kù zǐ = Gage doesn't wear pants.
Gagebù xǐ huān qún zǐ = Gage doesn't like skirt.

We also played game to practice the words.
At the last 10 mimutes we worked on the dictionary form P#1.
