For 1st and 2nd periods, we learned some new words and read an short paragrah. We used PQA, TPRS and small whiteboards to practice the words.

聰cōng 明míng = smart/intelligent

愚yú 笨bèn = stupid

皇huáng 帝dì = emperor

國guó 王wáng = king

總zǒng 統tǒng = president

管guǎn 理lǐ = manage

全quán 天tiān 下xià = all the world/the earth

忘wàng 記jì = forget

記jì 得dé = remember

漸jiàn 漸jiàn = gradually

事shì 情qíng =things

時shí 間jiān= time

 We also read the following article-

很hěn 久jiǔ 以yǐ 前qián  中zhōng 國guó 有yǒu 一yī 個gè 很hěn 聰cōng 明míng 的de 皇huáng 帝dì,他tā 管guǎn 理lǐ 全quán 天tiān 下xià 所suǒ 有yǒu 的de 事shì 情qíng 。可kě 是shì， 他tā 漸jiàn 漸jiàn 老lǎo 了le 。他tā 常cháng 常cháng 忘wàng 記jì 事shì 情qíng， 也yě 忘wàng 記jì 時shí 間jiān。

At the end of the 1st period, students were asked to work as a group to generate a story in 3 minutes one by one; each student in a group took his/her turn to write a sentence.

For 3rd period students, we not only learned some new words with PQA but also make a Zodica chart. Students were asked to translate the reading article as the followings.

比bǐ 賽sài = competition

跑pǎo 步bù = run

賽sài 跑pǎo = race

最zuì 快kuài = fastest

最zuì 慢màn = slowest

比bǐ ...快kuài = faster than...

比bǐ ...慢màn = slower than...

最zuì 先xiān = the first/the earliest

最zuì 後hòu = the last/ the latest

第dì 一yī = the first

第dì 二èr = the second

第dì 三sān = the third

第dì 四sì= the fourth

有yǒu 十shí 二èr 隻zhī 動dòng 物wù ，他tā 們men 賽sài 跑pǎo。這zhè 十shí 二èr 隻zhī 動dòng 物wù 是shì 虎hǔ 、馬mǎ 、羊yáng 、龍lóng 、蛇shé 、狗gǒu 、鼠shǔ 、牛niú、 猴hóu 、雞jī 、豬zhū 和hé 兔tù 。

十shí 二èr 隻zhī 動dòng 物wù 開kāi 始shǐ 賽sài 跑pǎo，鼠shǔ 跑pǎo 第dì 一yī。牛niú 跑pǎo 第dì 二èr，虎hǔ 跑pǎo 第dì 三sān ，兔tù 跑pǎo 第dì 四sì ，龍lóng 跑pǎo 第dì 五wǔ ，蛇shé 跑pǎo 第dì 六liù 。馬mǎ 跑pǎo 第dì 七qī ，羊yáng 跑pǎo 第dì 八bā ，猴hóu 跑pǎo 第dì 九jiǔ ，雞jī 跑pǎo 第dì 十shí ，狗gǒu 跑pǎo 第dì 十shí 一yī ，豬zhū 跑pǎo 第dì 十shí 二èr 。所suǒ 以yǐ，  鼠shǔ 最zuì 先xiān ， 豬zhū 最zuì 後hòu。
